The Causeway Retreat Sponsorship Programme

A first-of-its-kind initiative offering free, private healthcare for those who could normally not afford it

The Causeway Retreat is launching a unique sponsorship programme that will offer free treatment to clients who could not ordinarily afford to pay for private healthcare. This private clinic specialises in the treatment of drug and alcohol dependency and also offers treatment for psychiatric conditions such as depression, anxiety and stress-related illnesses caused by addiction problems.

Each month, the programme will offer one client:

1 month free in-patient care in the Causeway Retreat Village on Osea Island
12 months free after-care based in London.

How can I refer a patient for free treatment?

General Practitioners, Consultant Psychiatrists and Therapists throughout the UK are all invited to refer cases to us. These are then reviewed and a short list (chosen from the referrals received) will be presented to the Board of Trustees. They will then decide each month which client they feel is most likely to benefit from the free treatment on The Island and subsequent follow up care.

We're really excited to be launching this service nationwide, it gives us the chance to open our doors and help people who wouldn't normally be able to access to such specialised care. We're looking forward to receiving the referrals and getting the service started.
