Directions to The Causeway Retreat

1. Leave the M25 at junction 28, then at roundabout take the 1st exit, then merge onto the A12 (signposted Chelmsford) - A12
2. Leave the A12 at junction 18, then at roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A414 - A414
3. At roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A414 (signposted Maldon) - A414
4. Warning: Speed Cameras along the A414 - A414
5. At roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A414 - A414
6. At roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A414 (signposted Colchester A12) - A414
7. At roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A414 (signposted Colchester) - A414
8. At roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A414 - A414
9. At roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A414 (signposted Colchester B1018) - A414
10. At roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the B1022 - B1022
11. Shell Triangle Garage (D Houlding and Son) [AD] - B1022
12. At roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Goldhanger Road - B1026 (signposted Tolleshunt D'Arcy) - B1026
13. Turn right onto Basin RoadBasin

After about 2 miles (pass Heybridge Basin) turn right onto Osea Rd and follow road for approximately a mile until you reach the sea wall and then onto the causeway. Osea road is situated a short distance after a mobile holiday home park on the right.

From Central London: We advise you take the quickest route to the M25 and leave at Junction 28 rather than via the A12 out of London which many Sat Nav systems will recommend.

By Rail: From London Liverpool Street towards Braintree, Clacton‐on-sea, Colchester or Ipswich. Alight at WITHAM. Journey time from London is approximately 45 minutes. Witham Station is served by taxi services and is about 6 miles from Osea Island.
