Dr Donna Grant, BSc (Hons), MBBS, MRCPsych - Acting Medical Director

The Causeway Retreat's Acting Medical Director is BSc (Hons), MBBS, MRCPsych.

Dr Grant holds memberships with The Royal College of Psychiatrists, British Medical Association and Medical Protection Society.

She leads in women's mental health including perinatal psychiatry and, in addition has gained specialist training and expertise in many avenues of psychiatry. These include:

• Adult Substance Misuse
• Mood disorders, including depression and bipolar illness
• Anxiety disorders, including phobias and panic disorders
• Personality Disorders
• Reaction and adjustment disorders, including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
• Psychotic illnesses including schizophrenia
• Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
• Old Age

Dr Grant delivers postgraduate and public lectures in the fields of women's mental health, substance misuse and adult psychiatry, as well as contributing to media items dealing with these topics.

She has expertise in the consultation and reporting of medico-legals, including both civil and criminal cases.
