Dr Mike McPhillips
The Causeway Retreat's Medical Director is Dr Mike McPhillips, BA, MB BS, MRCP, MRCPsych. Dr McPhillips is a leading authority on the treatment of psychiatric and addictive disorders and is a member of The Royal College of Physicians and of The Royal College of Psychiatrists.In addition to his specialist training in Adult Psychiatry and Substance Misuse Psychiatry, Dr McPhillips' Postgraduate Training included General Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Cardiology, Oncology, Intensive Care and Transplant Medicine. His published research includes articles in the British Journal of Psychiatry; Medicine, Science and Law, and International Clinical Psychopharmacology. He is a Trustee of the Addictions Recovery Foundation, UK.
Dr McPhillips regularly gives postgraduate and public lectures on subjects relating to substance misuse and adult psychiatry. He has extensive media experience on the same subjects.
