Endorsed by the country's leading experts in this field, the island, which only a thirty minute helicopter ride from central London (the other route is an ancient roman road that is only accessible four hours a day at low tide), is the work of specialists who have developed innovative ways to treat those with any addiction issues.

The Causeway's pioneering programme takes away the stigma of rehab; accommodation is set in charming apartments in a picturesque village )parts of which dates back to the 16th Century) or at the luxurious New England style manor house. This is kitted out with lots of Road antiques, plasma televisions, Harrod’s finest beds and a first class chef. Privacy and discretion are of the utmost importance. Each guest is attended by a clinical nurse specialist and personal therapist as well as concentrating on developing life skills, dealing with stress management and relapse prevention.

Therapy is intensive, one-to-one and wholly bespoke and encourages guests to engage in their hobbies and interests, as well as exploring and developing new skills and future career possibilities.

For the creatively minded there is a state of the art recording studio; there are opportunities to paint ar take pottery lessons in the arts studio and culinary master classes for those who find cooking a relaxation. For guests who enjoy their sport, there are facilities to play tennis, swim, fish, ride, sail or work out with a persona; trainer. The Causeway can even arrange one-to-one sessions with visiting top trainers such as Linford Christie.

Equally, guests can simply roam the island's stunning grounds, enjoy the natural beauty of the surroundings and help tend to the island's collection of animals.
